A real nice Merry Clayton - Self Titled gem i purchased from ebay, released on the ODE label. This has the original to Big L - Kay Slay Freestyle (could also be from something else as well but have never heard it anywhere else) The song on this is called A1 - Southern Man

Carla Whitney (Self TItled)

This is a nice Canadian gem right here.  The first time I found this was at a flea market on Kingsway and Knight, which doesn't even exist anymore.  I think I paid 75 cents for it - and when I heard how nice it was, I went back the next week and got the other copy for the same price.  Then I found out how much it was worth at the time (I think I got $100 for each copy back then, maybe in about '01)

Also, produced by Choker Campbell, whose records are pretty sought after, and who actually dated my grandmother for a few years.

What's good everybody, this is Engineer and Jeff Spec and we wanted to start a blog to give back and share some of the great albums we have in our collections. We're both MC/Producers from East Vancouver, BC, and definitely dedicated collectors.

This blog is dedicated to people who love digging through old vinyl and finding that amazing forgotten music. We have both spent years collecting and learning about vintage music, with a focus on soul, but also across a wide range of genres. Online file sharing has definitely expanded the gems we've been able to acquire and hear, but we do want to stress the importance of actual diggin!!!
